ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

Position Summary:

The Accountant position is responsible for processing accounting and financial services for small to medium-sized clients based in the US. This is a customer-oriented position but with primary focus on delivering Finance and Accounting functions. The successful candidate will report directly to the Team Leader/Manager and / or Deputy Head – Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs regular accounting functions, e.g., bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring and bookkeeping functions.
  • Ensures that all transactions are captured accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensures strict compliance with deadlines set with clients.
  • Analyzes, interprets and prepares finance and accounting reports to bring more value to the clients.
  • Ensures successful implementation of processes migrated from the US to the Philippines.
  • Identifies and implements process-improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures strict compliance with the Company’s Operational control guidelines.
  • Assesses the customer service experience of the clients. Identifies gaps, develops recommendations, and prioritized initiatives, implements solutions to enhance client relationship and improves customer service experience, satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Responsible for ensuring the availability and accuracy of data for the Metrics Packages for submission to the clients.
  • Holds regular customer calls.
Qualifications:
  • BS Accountancy graduate.
  • CPA an advantage
  • At least two-year work experience.
  • Experience from an audit firm and / or outsourcing environment an advantage.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule.
  • Knowledgeable in accounting software, e.g., Quickbooks, etc.
